Dr. David F. Wemmer
Dr. Wemmer is a native of Maryland, and a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, a distinction held by less than 25% of practicing orthodontists today. He attended Towson State University at Baltimore, Maryland and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, graduating Magna Cum Laude. In 1983, he completed Orthodontic Specialist training at the Eastman Dental Center in Rochester, NY. Since 1985, Dr Wemmer has been creating beautiful smiles at two practice locations in Okeechobee and Vero Beach, Florida. In March of 2004, Wemmer Family Orthodontics opened a third location in Sebastian. Dr Wemmer and his wife, Patricia, have three daughters, Jennifer, Ann and Christina and five beautiful grandchildren. Dr. Wemmer resides in Okeechobee and enjoys tennis, basketball and hiking. He is also an avid Florida Gator football and basketball fan.

Dr. Jennifer Wemmer Schoenfeld
Dr. Jennifer Wemmer Schoenfeld, known around the office as “Dr Jenny”, graduated with honors from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 1998. She completed her advanced training in orthodontics at the University of Rochester/Eastman Dental Center in Rochester, NY and joined her father, Dr. David Wemmer in practice in July 2000. Active in the community, Dr. Jenny has been involved with the Junior League of Indian River County, the March of Dimes and the Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Jenny resides in Vero Beach with her husband, Heath, and their twin sons, Jacob and Casey. When not creating smiles for her patients, she enjoys chasing after her toddler twins, playing tennis, traveling to Blowing Rock, N.C., and going to the beach. She also loves college football and cheering for the Florida Gators, even though her husband is a huge Georgia Bulldog fan!
